Hello, All from new user

I just bought a 2007 prowler XT 650 Lime Green two seater machine. I only ran it a few blocks around the village of Simms, MT when the VOLT message came on. I drove back home, shut it off and next day it would not start.

I ordered a new battery but it won't be charged for 10-14 hrs the mechanic tells me. So, will have to wait til next week to see if I can fish the old battery out from under the driver's seat and stick the new battery in. The odometer/speedometer isn't working either. I wonder if that is due to the battery being on its last legs. Hopefully it will work when I replace the battery. Advice any one? J from Sims

Welcome REJ, I had on 06 xt and i found that you can take the wheel well loose behind drivers seat and get battery out a lot easier than fishing from under seat.It will slide out the back. If you take rear tire off makes it real easy.
