New member NEWBIE question

We just got a used 2014 500 HDX and I cannot find the oil dipstick/filler port. Lifted the cargo box, looked on the left side, i must be really blind. Please send pics as well as description!!!!! I want to check the oil level. Coolant seems OK, any other things to check? Don't know the level of care by previous owner.
Thanx

I am not familiar with the 500 HDX, but this is a previous thread on checking oil on a 2011 model. I found it by using the search function.

I found this on page 10 of the service manual, I'll have to keep looking for the dipstick.

Welcome to the forum, your HDX is a pretty popular model! I think the dip stick is on the drivers side of your motor, should be a yellow plastic cap. Pull the seat base and you should be able to see it. These things are easy to service. Any oil you chose needs to be wet clutch certified. I use Amsoil on mine, but there are many brands to chose from. I use synthetics as they seem to offer the best protection.

2009 700EFI XTX, , AC Winch, 2010 Dust Shield EPI Sport Utility Clutch Kit , Street Legal, Cage chopped 2 ", Aluminum Diamond Plate Trim, Relocated Factory Bladders with covers, 5 Pt. Harness installed, Bed Tiedown System, Scat Pro-Car Seats, Secondary Battery installed, Oil Pressure, Oil/CVT Temperature, Volt Meter & Water Temp Gauges installed with Dash Plate, Bighorns, ITP Black 212 Wheels. Tonneau cover. 750 Big Bore Kit, Web Cam, and Rocker Arms.
