New Guy with a Dream Prowler

I used to have a 98' Jeep Wrangler but sold it for a dream. I always wanted to desert race and my brother got me interested in UTV's. I read about Bipolar team winning the Baja 1000 (my ultimate dream) with a Prowler 1000 and 700. I was living in Texas and sold my Jeep the day I left. I was moving back to Portland (my hometown) and found the Bipolar Prowler 700 for sale online. I went and looked at it my first day back, put money down on it the next day. Within a week of moving back I was on my way.
I just competed in my first desert race last month, the Bilek Silver State 300. My goal was to finish. I blew my front differential apart at mile marker 80. . . . F$%#!!!! I just worked for months getting ready. . . screw it I have 2 wheel drive. Mile 120ish flat tire. Mile 210ish sheared off the bolt on my front driver side lower knuckle, had a spare and fixed it. A trophy truck came up on me with 10 miles to go. My co-driver told me I could keep him off me until the finish so I started pushing it. I blew two tires with 3 miles to go and stayed ahead of him through the checked flag!
I would like to thank Jim for all his support and all the spare part he gave me. He's a great guy and I hope to race with him in November in the Baja 1000.

Is this Kevin? Congrats on the run. And welcome to the addicting, ever cash outlaying, funnest sport in the world. You will find weak parts as you go, but prep is what wins the races. Take a few to learn yourself and your machine and eventually you will start doing better and better.
Are you running the V2R in August? If so, I'll see you there. Good luck and keep that AC in the competition.
