09 prowler xtx

Hi from Kingwood, wv . We bought an 09 artic cat prowler 700 xtx back in February, it quit in April. Has no spark, me and my husband changed everything for that problem but the ECU, we even took it too a big shop close by, and he put another stator on it, cause he said the on we bought was not good. Plus he put on a spark plug, wire and cap. Got it back Monday was he called and said he couldn't figure it out. After having it for a month, anyway HI.

Welcome to the forum. I have the same machine. Do you have 12 volts at the coil? Are all of the fuses good? ECU's seldom fail, but it does happen. Electrical issues are a pain! I just went through blown fuses on mine!

Tonneau cover. 750 Big Bore Kit, Web Cam, and Rocker Arms.

We have tried everything and took it to a place in reedsville, wv and checked all wiring , and put new plug and wire and cap and just got it back from him Monday has no clue we dont either??

unfortunately there isnt a real way to test the ECU. the manual only states to change out the ECU from another prowler to test it and it needs to be the same or it wont start. to top it off they are not cheap.

considering ECU's very rarely are the cause i will throw out an idea. when i first bought mine i had electrical issues with it but it was still under warranty thank god. they changed out everything and i mean everything. they even had 3 engineers from arctic cat looking at this thing and they were stumped. the last thing they changed out was the wiring harness. that was the culprit. it turned out the harness was run over a bar in the frame instead of under straight from the factory. it rubbed through and started to ground out the coil causing a backfiring.... hard starting... hard to keep idling.. you name it issues. it may not hurt to start chasing wiring and checking all the grounds. i have also went as far as testing all my fuses thinking they may look good but you never know.

another area to check would be your tilt sensor. ive seen a couple of these give issues to guys.

Changed tilt sensor, we change everything, and wires were fixed , just can't figure it out
