2010 prowler 550

broke two shifting cables....can shift manually but its hard going into reverse...could it be a transmision problem or the cable?

What rpm is your 550 idling at?

2009 Prowler 700 XTX Walker Evans Shocks,STI Roctane 27/9/14 and 27/11/14 tires,Warn skid plates,Ridgid Ind Prerunner Cage,Home made spare tire carrier,Hids high and low beams,1.5 inch wheel spacers,E Brake Alarm, Rear diff vent mod Etc. NO TURF SAVER!

it goes in to low and high easlily but it bends the cable and breaks it going into reverse

welcome aboard,the 550 has a shifting cable,does it go over the top of motor.

2015 A/C Sport,With a few add ons..........

yes it goes over the motor i bought a new cable and it broke too so im thinking it might be inside the tranny? very hard to shift it in reverse manually but it will go

Thats kinda what i was thinking,someone on here was having that similar trouble with a 1000,except there cluster was showing reverse but it wasn't going into reverse.

2015 A/C Sport,With a few add ons..........
