Hollon kinda sounds like what mine was doing, it worked but would always sound like it was grinding a little when locked in 4wd. first time I put it in a real hard bind I found out where the noise was coming from. spider gears, front diff looked like popcorn in a bowl. warranty covered it.

Catmaster sounds like the 4WD actuator is not fully engaging. There is a shift collar on the front driveshaft. The actuator simply moves the collar so that the two portions of the shaft join together. If it takes a while to get it to engage and then a grinding noise, I would suspect the actuator

Front making noise??

Here's what is going on when i put the prowler in 4wd i hear the actuator engage but the front wheels do not lock in for a few seconds its like it has to be rolling for them to lock in. Then when they finally do lock in you can hear what sounds like the gears. 4wd is working but kinda noisy. Any input is greatly appreciated on what to look for thanks.
