I notice you are from Farmington,,I was on the computer just yesterday looking at this as place to maybe move to where there are more sunny days.. How do you like it ?
Sorry it took so long to reply GOPAPA, haven't been near a computer that, been using my cell phone to keep up with what's going on, but replying wasn't really fun.
But I'm back at civilization now.
Farmington is a pretty nice place. We have the Rocky Mountains just 30 miles to the north, desert on 3 sides, 3 hours to Lake Powell, 40 minutes to Navajo Lake, couple of smaller lakes closer. Lots of riding area, but we are in a battle right now to keep our main riding area open, seems some (not all, just some elitist SOBs) mtn-bikers are trying to close of much of our riding area so they don't have to worry about being run over by a side-by-side.
Lots of oil and gas and power plant industry here. We have 3 major native american reservations on 3 sides of us, lots of casinos *L*... The climate here varies. This morning, it was 4 degrees outside with a windchill factor of -7. High today will be 36. But in the summer, we hit 95 to 100 pretty regularly in July and August. Springs and falls here are nice though. We have a pretty good riding season here though. Even riding in the winters aren't bad because of the sunshine. Yesterday I was out with my Prowler and got about 3 hours in.
It is nice, but you'll definitely want to make a trip here first and spend some time checking it out.
