Well ! I and the Mrs is Going Parting This New Years Eve

How about you ? any costumes to mention or favorite drinks ? I am wearing my New Artic Cat Cap as my costume tonite .

We were invited to the home of the people who I just got through building storage rooms in the Pole Barn I built some years ago for them.

Not bragging ,,just sharing what we are going to do on this Dec 31st 2009.

I like Henrys "Poor Bore Ale " myself and the wife likes white wine. We will stay Sober enough to drive the 4 miles home ,,back roads except where I cross a main Highway .

The hosts of our small party play a little "Blue Grass " so that will be our tunes as they say.. LOL

Care to share what "you-ins" are doing tonite ..( a Little Arkansas Accent came out if you noticed.. LOL GP here wishing you all a Happy New Year ..

Well, I was going to a singles party seeing as how I've been bacheloring it for 10 years now, but an old girlfriend called me today and wants to go see a movie...hmmm... might just do that.... and still have time to hit the party later....

But gotta get some sleep, tomorrow is my buddies and mine annual snow ride in the side-by-sides... about 5 hours of snow slinging and sliding around.....gotta show those RZRs what a real machine can do....

Arctic Cat Prowler Desert Race XTZ: ITP BajaCross tires on ITP Beadlocks, Beard Super TZ Seats, Crowe 5pt harnesses, King Off-Road Racing Shocks, Custom Racing Chassis with 7 inch longer wheelbase, +5 Suspension set at 16 Front and 17 inches Rear inches travel, UTVINC did the tube bending

True, but there are a lot of 50ft drop off cliffs where we ride... don't wanna miss seeing one of those....
It's funny though, most of them don't even get themselves in a position to race me anymore.... wonder why...

A quiet evening is what we are used to these last 25 or so years ,,but last night we went to some friends home ,,5 couples and a turtle .. The host played a little on his fiddle and mandolin acompanied with his gal friend on the guitar .. she is learning to chord along with him ,,enjoyed this for about 30 min. and then right back to (having a couple drinks,, I swear ) and eating not so much( cant swear to this ) and talking like most of like to do .
Came home and found a movie on direct tv and watched it and went on to bed and didn't even hear the shot guns of past years go off at midnight ..

So I can relate to you staying home and having a quiet evening , nothing wrong in doing that as the comfort of ones own home is where it is ..

Wonder how many are having hangovers this morning ? Glad them days are long gone.. LOL GP

Now for my New Years Resolution,,,,lets see ,,acually I dont think I ever held true to any so will just plod along and try being as nice as I can be to all..

We did go out to dinner/movie while grandma watched the kids. It sure was nice, grandmas and grandpas rock. It sounds like you had a great time last night. Bring on 2010, come on economy show us the money. On our way home last night I was amazed at how many home fire works were going off.

Sorry it took so long to reply GOPAPA, haven't been near a computer that, been using my cell phone to keep up with what's going on, but replying wasn't really fun.
But I'm back at civilization now.
Farmington is a pretty nice place. We have the Rocky Mountains just 30 miles to the north, desert on 3 sides, 3 hours to Lake Powell, 40 minutes to Navajo Lake, couple of smaller lakes closer. Lots of riding area, but we are in a battle right now to keep our main riding area open, seems some (not all, just some elitist SOBs) mtn-bikers are trying to close of much of our riding area so they don't have to worry about being run over by a side-by-side.
Lots of oil and gas and power plant industry here. We have 3 major native american reservations on 3 sides of us, lots of casinos *L*... The climate here varies. This morning, it was 4 degrees outside with a windchill factor of -7. High today will be 36. But in the summer, we hit 95 to 100 pretty regularly in July and August. Springs and falls here are nice though. We have a pretty good riding season here though. Even riding in the winters aren't bad because of the sunshine. Yesterday I was out with my Prowler and got about 3 hours in.
It is nice, but you'll definitely want to make a trip here first and spend some time checking it out.
