heading to the Sprint Boat races today

if you have never been , you have to do this .. they are a hoot

the track is carved out in a pasture just a couple feet deep , short very high powered Just boats race the track for time , the track is extremely sharp very tight turns through a course ...

boats are aluminum about 16' with very high HP V8's some big block but mostly small block .. injected in many cases although some still use carbs which surprises me as the turns are so tight and fast that they will work without fuel starvation . many will be dry sump motors also. ... some real art work boats for sure

often they jump out of the water and roll .. the corse workers just roll it back and on they go again lol full roll cages are mandatory .

name is Gary or hey you if ya forget

2009 Prowler XTZ , couple things added here and there
'83 CJ7 / SBC + whole lot added here and there
'01 Dodge / Cummins / Dually, a ton of stuff added here and there

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

I have never been and havn't any Idea where they are racing in my area ,,( where is this race you are going to at ? )but I did see some about it on TV and it is exciting to see them get around them turns .. almost like a small creek they are churning up the water in ..
Can you take some pictures and post them ? Sure would liven up the off-topic-discussion board. LOL
