very humble respect to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for this nation , for without them we would be speaking a different language and not have our freedoms.

wouldn't it be nice if history [un rewritten to liberal views of course] was still being taught in our school systems so the youth could get a sense of pride in our country and realize there is a responsibility to our way of life. soap box off now

I hope your cities have some type of remembrance also , great way to teach our Children and Grand Children the meaning of the Day of Respect, sadly our schools mostly don't teach what the day is about as well as Veterans day , guess they think if they don't bring it up it goes away or history will be re-written. Thank you to those who have served in our military past and present! Tonight we're going to watch the United States Air Force Band, they will be performing in front of our local Veteran's Memorial at 5:00 pm. The rain should be out of here by 4. Sunday going to a friend's house for a bbq, they're expecting 48 people

My hats off, to everyone who has served. And covering my heart, for those that gave the ultimate sacrifice. Thanks to all! No big plans for the weekend. Gonna open the pool today, maybe toss my new oil cooler on the Prowler, wash the truck, Jeep and Pontiac. Gotta get the house ready for new windows and siding that are coming next Tuesday. Gonna squeeze in a day of gravie runs in the Prowler and maybe some morel hunting. Grandkids coming tonight. Just a lazy weekend! Gotta work Monday night, overtime at the plant. That sucks big time! But, if I wasn't making plastic, we would have tin foil hoods and fenders on our Prowlers....

Happy Memorial Day, everyone!

Not a bad turnout for a small town, the Air Force Band sounded great!
