No holiday plans here. For the first time in 30+ years, my wife decided against putting up our tree (I am disappointed as I enjoy seeing the ornaments we have acquired over the years). We both have what we need and don't have enough to buy what we want, so no buying presents from now on (I did treat myself to new eyeglasses for the 1st time in almost 20 years and a new Pelican case for my M1A). Susan won't go to her family dinner because of the undisciplined children being terrors and I don't go because I have never fit in well.
I will make a trip to town early Sunday morning to get Lotto tickets for the week, get some cat food for our feral cats and a few quarts of Frostop Sarsaparilla that are both on sale at the farm supply, and get a gallon of milk and top off my truck gas tank at Walmart (gas is down to $2.17 a gal. It almost makes me want to take a trip). Sidenote: My 99 F150 just turned over 300,000 miles. I drive it about 50 miles a month nowadays just to give it a little exercise.
So, it looks like a relatively bleak holiday for me - feed the critters, surf the Internet, do a little target shooting if the weather permits, and nap often. Main item on our Christmas menu is grilled cheese with tomato soup. It was my choice.
