wont start

I have a 2008 Artic Cat Prowler that I just replaced the battery on & now I cannot get it to start. I also do not have any power to the dashboard.
Any suggestions?

you do not say if it even rolls over or even clicks .. if not check fuses and grounds first. good fuel / no water in it ? timing / valve adjustment ? fuel pump ? so many things that make for a starting condition.

was it running just before the new battery .. need some history to help diagnose

welcome to the house BTW ...

also some info as to what your rig is helps , many a good wrench on here especially the single cylinder rigs but overall good wrenches also.

*** hey RD time to help this feller out [he's one of the single guys who uses quarter turn fasteners to hold his rig together , he has is apart every other week or so

name is Gary or hey you if ya forget

2009 Prowler XTZ , couple things added here and there
'83 CJ7 / SBC + whole lot added here and there
'01 Dodge / Cummins / Dually, a ton of stuff added here and there

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

Was the battery pre charged with acid, or did you have to add acid and charge. My last battery was add acid and charge on a 1.5 amp trickle for 24 to 36 hours. It was a WallyWorld cheapo. #2 on what Gary said, especially that ground wire, if it moves even a little on the ground bolt, its enough to lose good contact. The grounds suck on these things, anyway. Has to be an easy fix, if it did run ok, before you swapped batteries.

Check the fuses, you may have blown one while changing the battery. Ground wires would be the next thing to check. The 10 amp ignition fuse will take out the dash function and everything will be dead!

Garage
Also check the main 30 amp fuse. I changed out my battery and installed the right model, dumb me I knew the battery post were reversed from what was in it but out of habit I hooked the cables as they were laid out and blew the fuse.
