I've always been curious on this one. There are some places local that sell the Rhino and RZR knockoffs. I'm curious how they hold up. I was contemplating getting one at one time for the price until the deal on my broken Prowler popped up.

Name: Shane

-2011 Polaris RZR-4 800 (SOLD)
-1999 Polaris Sportsman 500 ATV
-2006 AC Prowler 650XT (SOLD)-- updated bevel gears, updated oil pump driven gear, 4 wheel disc brakes, line lock E-brake, Papa Slap clutch, Xentec HID's, Dynatek CDI, Warn skid plates, Intellitronix gauges, 2010 intake/cvt duct work and dust shield, RZR seats, Bestop folding windshield, full cab kit, rear cage and rear seats (4 seater)

I don't ride with any of the off brands but I did get a chance to ride a knock off rzr demo... was NOT impressed at all.. leaking oil, rough, loud and the list goes on.. not to say that there aren't good brands of knock offs but this one in particular I would not buy..

2010 700XTX Orange -- Custom snorkel, Diff. vent mod (dry cavity), Bighorn 2.0's on custom painted "blacked out" rims, HMF Swamp Series XL with turn down, /// airdam stage 5, Some EPI goodies, Dynatek FS, Chrome headlight covers, Flip out windshield. "Cooler Hauler" ... Sold for another toy but still hangin around

Seemed when I was doing research online there were like 10 different brands or names of the same thing. They were all Chinese made, and probably all made at the same factory. Just everybody put their own stamp on them.... A lot advertised that you could interchange parts from the name brands, but I wonder how true that is?

I was real close to buying one about 6 mo ago. I had been researching them a little and was going to have it drop shipped and had several tell me that not to.
some reasons I heard:
cant contact anyone for parts or hard to find service/parts
inferior metals involved compared to domestic imports
no dealer to help back you on problems you might have
if you can find anyone to work on them, most have told me not to buy
I agree it was very tempting, but with those issues and lack of any verified testing and unknown quality control, I opted for used Acat. Believe I made best decision for me.
This was a rhino clone I was looking at. There is many names they sell under, but mostly from same area in China.

so I find this funny ... most of this could be said about Arctic Cat , especially when you include the dealer network [or lack of]

name is Gary or hey you if ya forget

2009 Prowler XTZ , couple things added here and there
'83 CJ7 / SBC + whole lot added here and there
'01 Dodge / Cummins / Dually, a ton of stuff added here and there

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

I think that the importer in Texas you mentioned might be one of the ones I looked at. If y'all are interested, I would check with the local BBB (Better Business Bureau) where they are located. It was hard for me to find out anything about the importers, Just sayin, if anything happens to a Kalwasaki,Yamaha, Acat, Polaris, CanAm, JD, Kabota, etc, you can at least talk to the people that back them.
