pioneer

Honda has come out with a 4-seater called the honda Pioneer 700-4 same wheelbase as there 2 seater. when not carrying passengers in the back the seats will fold down then you have a cargo bed.they will not be making the big red anymore. The Pioneer will take it's place.I would say they up it from the 680 motor to a 700.I guess it is just a little bit longer. 3 forward gears and reverse and way more travel than the big red.SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

2015 A/C Sport,With a few add ons..........

..."get yourself a Honda", "you meet the nicest people on a Honda", I remember all that. 'Bout all I can remember these days, or so it seems, I forget.

I think it is a pretty innovative and neat setup. Definitely looks better than the ugly Big Red. Still not the prettiest thing, but not bad either. I wouldn't mind having one. Would have liked to maybe see a bigger motor than just a SOHC 700 as well, but at least they are on the right track. I'm still kind of surprised Yamaha hasn't come out with anything new in a long time.

I agree not to bad looking,I also agree they needed to put a bigger motor in it,they call it a 700 class motor,I would say its still the same motor thats on my 680 rincon plenty of power for my quad but not enough for a 4-seater.I do like the idea of having no belt.its also the same trans thats in my quad.

...I've owned several two wheelers by Honda over the years. One of the biggest assets they had was dependability. IMO that is what got them started in the US, dependability.

got some very nice features for sure .. like the 4 seater arrangement with fold down seats so it bed isn't totally lost to seat space, and the automotive style tranny using the torque converter [no belt to slip] … only a 700 but guess that's the most popular size.

I had never looked at them until today .. also thought this thread was about sound systems and I had no desire for that in my rig LOL

name is Gary or hey you if ya forget

2009 Prowler XTZ , couple things added here and there
'83 CJ7 / SBC + whole lot added here and there
'01 Dodge / Cummins / Dually, a ton of stuff added here and there

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us
