Mine was also very jerky until I changed the spring as RD mentioned to do and also removed the one way bearing. Now the throttle is much easier to control and smoother.

They are great machines. I have the same bike with around 500 miles on it. My problem in Florida has been heat, but other than that it has been great so far.

No, it was the coolant hose that split. I was just throwing out there the other find I had made regarding the heat shield and modification to the fire wire to increase air flow to the engine.

That was a fear, especially on some of the trails we were riding on. However, the cat made it home and my buddy with the RZR snapped a drive shaft. Certainly not enough power on the 700 to do that.

Speaking from experience. Make sure you clean your radiator really well and verify that you have not blown the fan fuse. Also, make sure your fan is turning on at around 185 degrees.
