Doing a Crown King run Saturday if anyone would like to tag along. So far is just my Prowler and a Rhino.

I plan on staging at the old airstrip no later than 8 AM. Travel up at a leisurely pace, have lunch at the mill and return. I have never been up in a SxS so don't have any idea of time, its always been on a dirt bike or quad. I also only know one way up and back so don't really know any of the alternate routes or side trips, would be interested in finding out more from someone who has more knowledge of the area.

I have only had my Prowler for 2 months or so and this will be my first longer trip. I have been prepping it and checcking everything out. Installed a new starter, adjusted the parking brake and shift linkage, checked all the fluids and cleaned and oiled the K&N and ready to go!

Isn't there a fire going on right now up in crown king? May need to reschedule.

Yep. Fortunately it is north of town but the ystill don't want tourists in the way or clogging the roads. Guess it will be Table Mesa or somewhere else if I plan to ride.

I have had the Prowler 2 months now and only really used it for maybe 30 minutes in the Agua Fria river bottom between Youngtown and El Mirage. I am aching to go for a ride and Crown King was the only one I am familiar with. Maybe I will try Table Mesa this weekend.

I am hoping to go to Kachina Village over the Holiday weekend and do some riding up in the pines. Maybe go from there over towards Lake Mary?

Haven't done that one in probably 30 years, last time was in an old stock Jeep CJ-3. I seem to remember it took a lot of Coors to get there for some reason??? Oh the days when we were younger and times were different!

The New River Canyon to Seven Springs trail is nice. The have cleaned it up a lot so most is just dirt road.
