so I'm looking for

I would like to have winter/summer tires .. around here they spray that damn calcium chloride to help with ice melt .. this crapola destroys/pits badly aluminum rims, and anything else aluminum under the rig.

anyway I would like a set of steel rims for winter as I ride to my off road areas and have to use these sprayed roads .. do you know of anyone who make lower priced plane jane steel rims ?? I have looked but not found a Mfg. yet .. these would be for my XTZ they are 14"

thanks for any input
Gary

name is Gary or hey you if ya forget

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...

3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

Wouldn't clear powder coat on your aluminum wheels work?

yes for a very very short while , then severe pitting and corrosion sets in and you have ruined rims same on powder coating ... this is some nasty crapola

'sides I want a winter set and summer set without huge expense of the "nice" rims .. plane jane steel is fine for winter use around here [and I'm too damn old to care about what others think LOL]

I had 12" ITP delta rims on my polaris. they are plane jane but not hideous lookin. they ran about $50 a corner for 12". im not sure where they ship to but check out XXX.royaldistributing.com thats where i buy my stuff. that store is my CRACK! I could walk around there for hours. I know they next day ship and im pretty sure they ship to the US too

If you have not already checked ebay and maybe some utv shops around your neck of the woods for some of the steel take offs. Ya know we always just used pam or wd-40 on our stuff we wanted to protect from salt water. It worked extremely well on protecting aluminum, chrome, and steel. The nasty salt stuff just rinsed right off. I would always use it very thick and it worked like a charm.

I think they do. I have a buddy with a thundercat and he put prowler rims/tires on it. same bolt pattern, just different sized rims. kinda blew my mind that the 1000 t-cat came stock with 25" tires on 12" rims. figured if you're gonna go big with a Tcat, they would have something a little more fancy than 25" stockers.
