Hunting 2014

hey y'all
Been a while but finally got to take the prowler out for caribou opener. Not as many animals running around as in years past. One of my brothers has to be in college in a week so ended up taking a cow to get him some meat. 1of 2 tags filled. Could of took another cow but other brother has a few months to get his. 100+ miles in a few days. Only had a few issues. I took it out knowing my actuator was not working, lucky it was stuck in 4 wheel so went with it anyways. Driver side lower ball joint popped out, fan got a short somewhere and quite working. Im going to probably get a wheeler for next yr. Its just to far into the woods to take the prowler. Here is some pics.

what were you shoot'in in pic #1 [the rifle] in pic's looks like an AR .. assume the caliber is a 308 as 223/556 is a bit light for range and stopping power for large game unless close so hitting power is still there.

name is Gary or hey you if ya forget

2009 Prowler XTZ , couple things added here and there
'83 CJ7 / SBC + whole lot added here and there
'01 Dodge / Cummins / Dually, a ton of stuff added here and there

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE NEWBIES ...
1. Bring in a good load of firewood for the pit
2. start the morning coffee , strong but not burnt / boiled down , IMPORTANT start it early as many of us old farts get up early !!
3. sit a spell and swap some lies with the best of us

Yep that my brothers, its Howa .308. Good little gun, kinda a wanna be sniper rifle. Heavy for as small as it is. I think the japs make it. Crazy accurate/powerful out to 250
