Well an 09 should be using 5w50 oil even thou it should be 5 when cold its not also check the state of your battery load test it. Also dont forget the stock Prowler dosent have many cold cranking amps. you may need a heater for your coolant line to keep it warm enough to start.
Double check terminals on both ends battery, starter. Take them off and check for corrosion between the strands, clean if needed and re-tightened. Be sure you got a good solid ground connection. Remember a battery can look new and fail load test.

hello, new to the site just picked up 2013 prowler 700 hdx that needs a little (lol) tlc.
this is my first utv? side by side. some years back I used to play with v.w. sand rails, have to see what fun this new toy is.
I mainly plan on it be a work horse at my house.
I just picked up a 2009 Prowler 700 xtx efi a week ago. The PO said the cam chain tensioner was shot. After getting the new part in and installed, the chain still lifts up .100" off the cam gear so I'm guessing I'm in for a little more in-depth look at this engine. Grrrrrr.
