Drove my prowler the other day. It ran fine. I shut it off and when I went to start it back it ran for a second, started to bog down, and then died. It would not start back. I put a new spark plug in and checked all fuses and relays. The plug is sparking. No problems there. Took the line off the fuel pump and it is pumping fuel. So no problems with fuel. When you turn the key it cranks good but you can tell it isn't trying to hit. Where should I look next? Thanks

I was just tinkering on it and it starts for a second on starting fluid so it is probably fuel related. I'm at a loss trying to get this thing back going! Took the line loose at the filter and it is coming through. Maybe it isn't getting enough pressure to open the injectors?

Welcome to the site! You need 43 psi of fuel for the 700 XTX. That is the minimum. Sounds like your fuel pump is going south!

i second the low fuel PSI considering it ran good until you parked it. if the PSI is good another idea is maybe you have bad gas. i have gotten a bad tank in my 4 wheeler from a place that had a leak they didnt know about in their under ground tank. ground water was seeping into their tank.

Ok guys, put a new fuel pump in my prowler yesterday. (The rubber gasket in it that connects to the end of the pump had split causing it to lose pressure I assume) Put a fresh charge on the battery and cycled the key a few times to prime the system up. Sprayed some starting fluid in the air box and it fires right up. Had it running for 3-4 minutes and it idled and everything and decided to take the battery charger of the terminals and then it died. Now I cannot get it start back. It cranks good and tries to hit every now and then but won't start. I can spray starting fluid in it or hold a rag with a little gas on it in front of the air box and it will run until I pull it off. The fuel pump is running and sounds strong. i switched the fuel pump relay and ignition relays around too. Could the problem be in the injector? I'm about to pull my hair out with this thing!!!!

Pull the injector and check the spray pattern. You may have some crap in the fuel injector, or te line feeding it.

Blow out the fuel vent line that runs from the tank, through the frame and exits out the frame by the right front bumper mount. A buddy blew his from the front of the line, into his tank. He could feel the pressure ease as he did it. I would rather go from the tank, forward. But he did it, drained and cleaned the tank and it worked and has stayed running since.

Found a clean 2011 XTZ, they are asking 8,300.00 for it. Been on their inventory for almost a year! Thinking about offering 5,500.00 and see what happens!

Ok guys... New fuel pump, new battery, and you can hear the injector snapping, Any idea on how I could check the injector or any of the sensors such a throttle position or air fuel temp, ect. If it could even be those type of things causing it not to start?

Just tested the fuel pressure again... Only showing 10psi on 2 different gauges. Could something have happened during installation of the new pump. I bought an aftermarket flip mfg pump and put it in the old housing. Do you have to taper the little fuel line looking gasket that fits up in the housing that connects to the fuel line coming out of the tank?

I've heard that those pumps won't cut it for the injected motors, but can't confirm.
