my son was driving it down the back road at 20kms. it just made a bang and locked up. he tried to start it but it would only click not turn over. he had it towed home about a 1km. he left it sit till i got home from work , i tried to start it it cranked over and started, ran for a min then stalled. it restarted but runs but is making a noise. dealer said its probability the wet clutch. i just took it apart and the wet clutch looks ok. there is a lot of metal on the oil plug magnet. so i think its more then a wet clutch. so do i ripe it all apart. i just put it all together and the noise is still there sounds like something is rubbing.

Sounds like the one way bearing is bad.

Make sure to use wet clutch safe oil

The one way bearing has been removed by the dealer years ago

my son said there was also some oil in the air box to

well i took the engine apart and all is good just a little wear on the front of the piston ,oil ring is a little bit worn. rod has no play so i guess the noise is in the trany. guess i will be ripping it apart next.

I listened to your video again. It sounds similar to the rollers in the transmission.

I had an ATV with some flat spot on the rollers that sounded kind of like that.
