my 1000 has the 4 person cage and the rear sags for sure... i hit quite a few rocks this weekend up in the hills...i wouldnt say 10 inches of travel, more like 7. GOing to try and crank the preload and see what happens..if not. maybe a longer/stiffer shock set for the rear?

chance,

I just bought a spring compression kit and went out to look at the job ahead and noticed my spring on the Right Rear is also rubbing into the shock body. Now i have a 4 seater with a cage so i know thats added weight but it seems that the springs are awfully weak to bow into the shock body...is prestigemike gonna get some HD springs? I really dont want to go down the path of 400ea dollar shocks yet til i get a few miles on these.....

thanks Mike...heres an odd thing. I added preload to the driver front and rear. The rears i cranked all the way down til i had about 1/4 inch left til the bottom on the adjusting housing. I tried the same thing on the other rear and for some reason the whole thing turned, the adjuster and the chrome threaded part...i sat there pounding that adjuster for 30 mins before i realized the whole body was turning. I have never seen that before......I had to put a pipe wrench on it to finally get the ring turned,...man...those shocks are crap cheapola...those fox shox are looknig better all the time..at least i got 9.5 inches of clearance back in the rear....whew..
