Hello everyone! I have a 2006 Prowler 650. I installed a new battery and the positive post and connector arced so bad it melted my screw driver trying to tighten the wire to the post. What is up with that. Got it running and it overheated. Any ideas boys?

Check your coolant level, these things airlock pretty easy. Burp the cooling system as you add coolant

Jack the front end it and remove the radiator cap, let it idle, or start the machine, and loosen one of the hose clamps at the thermostat housing. I motorcycle cooling system tester on mine. But you can watch the coolant level drop as you bled the system.
