I forgot what they were charging for the fan kits! I followed de3's lead and ordered one off ebay! Have not had any problems with it to date.

Dumb question. Are you blowing air into the engine compartment, or sucking the hot air out?

blowing air into the motor compartment from the cab,so its also helping blow hot air out of the cab also.

I would think forced air movement over the motor would really help!

I don't think I need a bilge blower, but if I do, now I see how its done.

Are you folks putting any kind of filter on the intake side?

I didn't put a filter on mine, I was concerned it may impact the air intake cfm. surprisingly the clutch shows very little signs of dust when I pull it down.

No filter,I'm using it to blow air from the cab to the motor compartment.....I'm sure a filter would slow the cfm down...

I'm upgrading to a 4'' bilge blower,its 240 cfm at 13.6 volts.the one I have now is 3'' 145 cfm.......I'm reducing it from 4'' down to 3'',this will also increase the cfm's..........the 3'' does make a difference,but the 4'' will be perfect.:)
