Just an fyi to those that live in the Phoenix area... The new cameras that are going up around town aren't just red light cameras!!! Here are my $200 pictures taken in El Mirage

Oh that sucks. I really wish we could do something about these. I have not had this honor yet but I am sure i will. I thought for sure to see you in your cat on the ticket.
Ya these things really suck!! Im pretty careful whenit comes to the intersections that they are in but this time I was coming home from working an overtime graveyard shift at 4:15am. It would have been better if I was in the cat haha!

Well you can get the Escort Passport 9500ix radar detector. It has built in red light and speed camera coverage via GPS for the entire USA. Mine has saved me from numerous tickets for sure.

We had some red light cameras and a guy went and timed the yellow light for the speed limit and it was off by 2/10's of a second or somehting like that and all tickets given by that camera were thrown out. It happened in Newport beach Ca.

The camera are now just sitting there not taking pics and not giving out tickets anymore. i dont think they know what to do with the cameras.

maybe someone should time your yellow light at any one intersection and they have to throw out all the tickets?? just saying

But then again Az gov is not as stupid as CA gov. I dont think

they could just fix the light, but its cali duh

What did you get the ticket for may I ask ? $200 is a lot of Money
Speeding... The actual ticket was only $150 but I am going to traffic school and it costs $200. My job is considered a driving position so my driving record is looked at every year. Points on your record can affect promotions and raises so I have to get them off. The shitty thing about all of this is I've only been pulled over one other time in my life and that was for mudflaps on my truck.

I thought all photo tickets did not go on your record. No points.
Only the ones on the freeways are like that. The ones issued from the actual city come with points. I already looked into that

I was talking with someone who has a close friend within DPS, she was telling me the story of someone who removed the license plate from one of the vans, put it on his vehicle, and then did laps around the van speeding by.

Last Christmas did everyone see the boxes on top of the cameras, they were wrapped with bows on them, pretty funny.

I hate to say it and I will upset someone Im sure but as far as Im concerned people that work government jobs are worthless because they dont have what it takes to make it in the free market and the private sector , then they claim they want the job for the benefits.. Bs....

Thats funny because when this picture was snapped of me I was on my way home from one of those government jobs... I think you are right on certain jobs but I wouldn't say that about everyone. I work for the city of Phoenix as a water treatment plant operator/mechanic and if I were to go into the private sector in the same job the only thing that would change is who sends me my paychecks. When people retire out of my job they usually will go into the private sector as a consultant or into another operator position. The one thing that I am really happy about right now is job security so its not always about the benefits.
