Hi folks, I'm John from Tanana, Alaska. It's a remote village in the central part of the state where the Yukon and Tanana rivers meet. Our only access is by river or plane. We are 230 miles downriver from Fairbanks.

I just purchased a red 2010 YTZ 1000 with a TJD tracks installed. I never sat in the machine, let alone drove it. I'll be flying into Fairbanks this weekend to pick it up and thought about riding it the 230 miles down river to Tanana.

Option B would be to trailer it on a cr*ppy road to Manley, Alaska and drive it 70 miles down river to Tanana.

What ya folks think I should do?

Double what Soazcat said, but seriously 230 miles on a brand new machine is a long way. do cell phones work up there? Be a crappy place to break down on maiden voyage.
