This is my first artic cat i have changed belts on lots of toys but this 1000 is kicking my butt? I have the screw in the secoundary spreading that have the primary clutch open and there is still not enough slack to get the belt off... Anyone know how?

I pulled the whole sheave off when I was messin with mine ... I put in a spacer for more botton end

You need to take the outer half of the pulley on the front belt off to get the belt off.

From my understanding the cover bolts that are used on the new style to spread the clutch sheaves are not long enough. If you get longer bolts it should spread apart more and make the belt change better.
