My son works at the local Yamaha/Arctic Cat/Suzuki dealer and last night brought home a Rhino 700 EFI with aftermarket 26" tires, MSD ignition box and an aftermarket pipe. We went out to the sand pits to play..............
I KICKED THAT RHINO'S A$$!! The Rhino topped out at about 75 kph, I had mine (08 Prowler XTX700EFI, ALL STOCK) to 90 kph last night!
From a dead stop? ...no contest! I immediately jumped out to a 1/2 buggy lead and then just kept pulling away! We had a great time rippin it up in the sand!
I still haven't had mine WFO (only 650 kms on her) but I'm not expecting a bunch more, my experience tells me that most response is in the first 3/4 of throttle anyway, but man was I impressed! The best part? I got to tease my son, 'cause his Pops kicked his a$$ !!! LOL

is that pretty normal for a stock XTX? After some mods what would be an expected top speed? thanks
I honestly don't know! This is my 1st Prowler and I was surprised at the power and speed it has! It was also the first time I kind of ran it hard (only have 650 kms on it), but I'll tell ya, for me, 90 kph on that short wheelbase sure feels fast!! LOL

Here's a couple of pics of my upper windshield/sunvisor I made out of checkerplate aluminum, it works great and I think it looks good too! This has given me some more ideas for checkerplate stuff!

I have almost 900 kms on my Prowler now and just love it! I recently changed the engine oil and filter (3rd time) and this time I installed Rotella 5W40 synthetic (I use this in my motorcycle too, and they both use the same oil filter!), I also changed front and rear differential fluids to full synthetic 75W90. So I'm ready for winter fun and plowin some snow now! This weekend I'm installing/making my own snorkel kit!

Thanks! I have made a slight modification to the engine air intake so that it now sucks its air from the top rear drivers side area of the engine cover. I'll try it and see if it helps to keep the air filter cleaner, longer. If not, I'll do the full snorkel thing! I'm not into the deep water stuff, but it would sure be good if the air filter would stay clean, at least for a little while! It has been super dry around here this year and the dust is brutal! Having the engine air intake from the rear wheel well seems pretty dumb to me. My buddy did a snorkel kit on his (on all 3 pipes) and says he can't believe how much cleaner his air filter stays! He also said his stalled out in the mud because the rear tire would throw the mud up onto that little ledge and plug off the air intake!
