Hey guys. I recently blew my rear diff to shreds. I need to replace the whole rear diff. The part # is 1502-404. Any ideas where I can pick one up without paying $1259.99??

I believe you might have a time finding a good used one,I am like you I would hate to fork out that much for a new one,if you find one or decide to buy new.get with flying121 and change out your spike load dampener with a better one,not sure how you use your XTZ,but beefing up the rear Diff on a 1000 is a good Idea If you raise heck on it.

I just checked them out and man I sorry they are way over priced they want more than list price on some of their used parts But thanks in case I ever really need something.

Joe, their listed prices are usually over priced. But like I mentioned, you can often negotiate a better deal than what they have listed. I purchased a few items off of them for my brake conversion. Just have to wheel and deal with them a little bit.....:D

Thanks for the help guys

I really am looking to beef this thing up. At the time I had two people in the back one really big guy and I was trying to bring up the front end and snap there it went. Wasn't even off the trailer for 30 mins and we broke it. Luckily we have a huge mud truck that was our alternative ride. I appreciate all the help guys much appreciated!

Yipes! I've seen front diffs like that, but that is the first rear case I've seen grenaded! I'm not aware of any aftermarket upgrades, but who knows, anything is possible. Not sure if a Wildcat rear diff would work, or if it is any better. They do offer a spike load dampener delete kit, but not sure this would prevent the diff failure. The damage looks like what happens when the pin weld breaks. AC had that problem on some early years. The fix was to check the factory weld, and then put a plate over the pin, and weld it on. Some of the broken cases were replaced under a warranty. I looked at the Arctic Cat Parts Store, and they show a complete rear for 850.00, I'd check with Babbitts Parts House, as they are usually cheaper. I spoke with several people on beefing up a stock rear end, and they all reported that the factory piece is pretty stout! I have a 700, and managed to build a complete case for around 350.00 dollars, but I had to search for the parts at a low cost, and it took several months to get everything I needed.
