I have two RZR seats sitting in my garage right now. I just haven't had time to get any custom brackets made to make them fit.

you don't need custom brakets just drill out the seat bases you already have when I chopped my cage in my old 650 ,I had to cut out the cross brace with the headrest,,,, they were comfortable too ,,that's on my list of things to do with this one too :D:D

I'll have to look into that. If you drilled, did you just mount the seat in a fixed position then since you wouldn't have slots to slide the seat base forward or back?

Do you think the cross brace would need to be cut out on a stock height cage as well? I know the head rests can be unbolted, and was just hoping to do that. I'm trying to install without hacking things off in case I ever needed/wanted to put it back to stock.

a friend of mine did the same thing with his ,he ended up sliding the back part of the rzr seat up behind the factory headrest,,,,i realy didn't care for that look so I removed that whole bar ,,they fit perfect..jus slide you seat base in , lock it down..place the rzr seat on top of the base, mark the location drill ,and your done....:D

I had to remove the head rest on mine also when I installed the seats I have ... then I went back to stock seat on my side [my big azz wouldn't fit well in the aftermarket suspension seat .. major scar from hip repair and 2 years later replacement hip .. scar rubbed the seat frame ]
had to go suspension seat for my lady's very bad back with harness belts or she couldn't go on rides.

yes it would have been great , dern thing holds ya in place nice and is much easier on bad backs .. add harness and you are kept very secure and don't get the spine shock and sudden twisting yanking the non harness see's .. my lady's back can't take it so she almost quit going out with me OR I have to ride boring trails with nothing much of a challenge to them not an option for me.

I was wondering if anybody has just purchased universal seats such as the ones linked below or something similar and made them work in your Prowler? A lot more affordable than buying Prowler seats, but you would just need to make a custom bracket to make them work I'm sure.

2X JDM Black Cloth PVC Leather Full Reclinable Racing Bucket Seats | eBay

2 x Universal Black JDM Turino Sport Racing Bucket Seats Driver Passenger LH RH | eBay

Smittybilt 44917 Standard Bucket Seat 76 13 CJ5 CJ7 Scrambler TJ Wrangler | eBay

1x Universal MU Style V3 Blk PVC Leather Sport Racing Bucket Seat Sliders Toyota | eBay
Thats a good deal on those seats if they would fit.

I'll pull off one of my seat bases and try matching it up. I guess I would have to figure out the seat placement in the Prowler to determine where to drill. Or see if I can cut new slots in the base for forward/back adjustments on the RZR seats.

One issue I can think of with car seats do they have a way for water to drain and will the soak up water? There's been several times I've been caught in a rain storm and just wipe the seat off and go. If the seat bottom will let water pool that would be a problem for me.

Mine are just all black. No RZR emblems or anything. Saw them on my local classifieds and couldn't pass up the deal ($75 for the pair). They were supposed to be rear seats for my kids. At least that was partially the plan and what my wife believes....:D But then I heard of others making them work in the front. So that got me thinking. I'm either going to have to search for a deal on two more, or get a bench seat for the back.
