Has anyone thought/done a small cut-out of their cowling that would allow you to check your oil level without having to remove the whole cowling?

You could cut it and place 3-4 screw tabs that fold over the edge of the opening - then use a slightly larger piece of thin black plastic - drilled to match the hole-placement for the cover.

Having just gone thru the expense of a motor failure - I know I will be checking more often.... thought there oughta be an easier way.

Lemme know & Thx!
