I have ridden San Felipe and the race course that surrounds it. All I remember is deep buggy whoops sections going on for miles. There is a big flat lake bed also, Its a top end run you just follow the tire tracks top end for maybe 7 miles across the dry lake then 20 miles of whoops and you are at San Felipe.

I have done a couple of rides to Baja with the Desert Assassins. Cameron Steele plans a ride every year Called the Rip to the Tip. They take of On May 5th this year.

I finished last year 1491 miles in 5 days, Ensenada to Cabo and everything in between, all on old Baja 1000 race course, and some stuff only Cameron knows.

Here is a link to slide show of our ride, i hope it works ok.

Here is me taking a break with Trigger Gum and Conor Gilmore. I am on the far right.

This is me getting Most Improved rider,

This is Cameron's dad we call him big Dizzle. Big D is looking at a picture of himself, the year he won the baja 1000 like 1967 I think. In a Bug. A Mexican restuarant owner gave it to him off a restaurant wall, it was pretty amasing for Big Dizzle he is like 76 years old now.

Its all in there, silt, knock outs, off a cliff into the ocean.

Thanks for the photos....What happened with the bike of the cliff in the ocean???
We cut through there all the time, thats Dave Lambert; he said he just bumped his shoulder on the cliff by accident and next thing he knew he was in the air.

He jumped to the top of tha big rock and didnt get hurt. Took us a while to get the bike out. He still road the whole trip with that bike after we did some repairs. He blew up his bike on the last day about 40 miles from Cabo. Its the bike in the back of the truck near the end of the show.

That slideshow runs backwards, and is doubled up on some pics sorry. The Mia in Cabo was the final destination.
