Hi
I have a 2009 700 xtx that is jerky off the start and after investigating the problem I think it is free play in the rear end. If I put the box up and watch the rear drive shaft it turns at least one quarter to one third of a revolution before it connects to the wheels. Has anyone else experienced this problem, or can someone check there machine, much appreciated.
Thanks Chipnet

My 09 does the same thing, I was told by the dealer that this is normal, my uncle who is a mechanic says it is perfectly normal because its a locker.

agree

I agree. I do alot of slow driving on my property and I can't imagine what this will do to the drive train after time. If this is part of the turf saver rear end, it dosn't save alot of turf when it jerks so hard taking off.

My dealer informed me that there is a kit you can get that replaces the throttle cable and peddle spring to make it stiffer. This may possibly help due to the fact that when the machine stars jerking I find my foot will start jerking also which I think compounds the problem!!

I have the same problem and its real annoing on the trail when trying to go over fallen trees and when backing up to turn around at low speed. Im going to tear the diff down and see if i can weld it up so its a solid diff just like the 650

I had a mishap with the 09 700, now have a 2010 700. It dosn't seem as bad but they have put a heavier spring on the throttle. It definitly helps!
