Just wondering if anyone out their is into UTV desert racing. For the 2009 season we will building up a new XTZ Prowler 1000.

This is such a good platform that we dont really new to change a lot to get it race worthy. Of course were putting on long travel suspension, suspension seats and all of the needed safety gear like cages, fuel cells renforcing brackets and what not.

Anyone interested in seeing the build photos can go to our web site
www.ATVonics.com

or drop us a line we will be posting photos of this build soon.

Racing Prowler

You arn't missing it.... we havent posted any pictures of the XTZ build yet, Were still busy modifing our Long travel kits for the XTZ in computer simulations and doing finite analysis work and also designing new axles for the XTZ platform.

Our cage is all worked out in Solidworks, as well as the front top shock cross over tower. Rim's are cusom anodized beadlocks with tire balls, just not sure if were going to run Bighorns or the new 8 ply Reapers.

We are getting all the parts together so when we get the new platform we arn't starting to design then.

Then we will post all the pictures you want to see.

as well as the front top shock cross over tower.

Why are you changing the front shock crossover tower? Is this for performance only or does it add strength? Does this really need to be done or is it just a preference? Btw ya i am interested in desert racing. i am thinking about entering best of the desert this year with my new cat. So please do post up build pictures when you get a chance.

Hey guys whats up? yeah you should reinforce or build a tower conecting the front shocks because we have ripped them off with stock suspension when you bottom out in the steep dune transitions. My brothers ripped out once and only because the stock shocks alowed it to bottom and the force had to go somewhere.

My family and I are very interested in desert racing. This will be our first year so we have much to learn and a lot of things to do to get ready.

Any information will be appreciated.

Ignacio Colorado... I'm in Farmington, just south of you. I'm into desert racing too. Getting ready to build up a Prowler for competition. My email is [email protected]
Drop me a note and lets see if we can help each other. I'm an AC dealer, so I can get lots of goodies pretty cheap and have been involved with off-road racing since the early 70's.

Hey Darryl what happened to you?

Would you happen to know where I can get a cheap dead 650 prowler motor? Just need it so we can tear it apart and look inside.
