Just my opinion.. my dealer is an hour and 45 mins away and I make the drive to get the proper oil... I usually just buy one or two kits ahead.. you may want to check in to it but if you have any type of engine problems i believe any other oil but the recommended will void your warranty. your engine was designed specifically to run with the AC oil.. not to say there isn't other oil out there but I believe in running the AC product..

Just make sure it is wet clutch approved oil. It will say right on the quart container or the back of the gallon jug.

Right on! good to know some new info.. I always just took the safe route when it came to lubrication but now that I know I can use others I may try something different... anybody ever use Royal Purple in their machines?

Your not talking about about much oil and the cost is small. I would stay with AC oil, it has all the proper wet clutch properties needed. Other oils say they do and I am sure they work fine but for me AC oil keeps my mind a rest when running hard on the trails.
I didn't think I saw a AC oil bottles in your garage?

Seems a little pricey but i use AC oil and filters on mine. I know it works and won't have any warrant issues if something happens. ;)
