I havent done it yet, i think SandChris did. I hear they work great!
How about it sandchris, are the xenon replacement lights good on the prowler?
I bought a cheap set from ebay for 80. You can get a set for 60 now and they are very bright.
Here is a link to information on the Zenon kit, i forgot about this.

I ordered a set . I will let you know how they work when i get them in. Thanks.
Well how do they work and how much?

I have the Xantec HID's from ebay... I need to order another set, there is room for 4 :).

work good for the money
Do you have a web link for them?

I ordered (4) #880 with the slim digital ballasts from VVME. I think you could get by with just 2 for the high beams and leave the low beams as is. They are bright. Ordered on Monday and received them on Friday at noon. Drove 200 mile and installed them before it was dark. Installation was easy.

Someone told me that I should order the slim ballasts, they are suppose to stop the oscillating that you sometime get with analog ballasts.

I put the 880 kits from VVME on ebay. Can't go wrong with a kit from them. Awesome warranty, usually free shipping and are wicked bright. Only get the kits though with the slim digital ballasts. Just my .02.

Thanks for the info.

i put the ones from vvme on my prowler. They are very bright, but i have only used them a couple of times and already one has gone out. Now i dont know if its the bulb or the ballast. Does anyone know how i check which one it could be? If they will hold up i will put another set in the other spot .
Its actually probably your battery voltage is too low.. If I run all 4 with the stereo I get about a half hour of use then one will start to flicker.. When I first installed them I noticed one wouldnt fire unless the bike was running.. Ended up being the battery was weak.. We both need to install that alternator kit for more juice..
Dont think that the problem, they were both working fine until last weekend and one just wasnt firing. Can i order just the bulb if i find out that is the problem , or the ballast if needed?
Switch out the bulb with a known good one. That will let you know if your ballast is good. I also thought that VVME had a 1 or 2 year warranty????

Swap your working bulb over to the other side. If it lights, then the ballast is bad. HID lamps dont have a filament but if they get a small crack the gas escapes and that bulb is TU. Good luck and check that warranty.
I meant to say the ballast is OK. Sorry bout that.

when you switch to high beams don't your low beams stay on also?..mine do, on high beam all 4 bulbs are lit...or is this even normal?........09 XTX
That’s the way they are supposed to work. Someone said that they left the low beams with the original lamps and changed the high beams to HID.
the warranty from vvme is awesome, just email them and they usually send out right away. I have bought over 40 kits from them for quads, trucks cars all that stuff, and one order, all 10 ballasts were NFG, so I e-mailed and they sent me 20 replacement ballasts, no charge. I e-mail Mandy, her address is [email protected], and she is really helpful, just be patient with her english, not so good.
